MESH3DLABINSERT BUILDER
Custom case inserts — designed by you, cut by geometry

The case should fit the tool. Not the other way around.

A top-down insert designer built on Mesh3DLab's library of 130+ measured tool outlines. Set a box to your size, drop in real tool pockets and simple shapes, and download a print-ready insert — cut on our servers to the millimetre.

What's coming

Built in the open, one phase at a time.

The preview live today is the layout engine — your own box dimensions, the verified outline library, and simple shapes, dragged, rotated and checked in a flat top-down view, then cut into a watertight STL — plus the guided photo outline, live now in the owner preview. Next up:

Guided photo outline — live in the preview

Shoot the tool right in your phone's browser — on a sheet of paper, or next to something of a known size: coins, AA batteries, a tape measure, a dollar bill, a card, even the case itself. Place as many references as you have around the tool; they check each other. Every photo gets a quality score and is checked for tilt, shadows and contrast: if it isn't straight-on, it's declined on the spot with a plain-language reason and a retake prompt, never a bad trace. Preview the photo guide.

02

Real case blanks

Solid models of the actual case interiors — starting with the Milwaukee PACKOUT 48-22-8435 and the DeWalt DWST08020 — taper and all, so the insert you download is the insert that drops in.

03

Pay per download

Designing stays free. At launch, a finished insert is $4.99 per download — no subscription — and every export carries its own stamped download ID.

Also on the bench: part-number-only designs straight from the measured library, trace cross-checks against library footprints, and more case blanks — drawers, deep organizers and more.

Have a case we don't support yet? Submit its blank with photos of the case and earn download credits when it's approved — the case library grows with its users.
